Welcome to ONTOLOGY overview! In this module, we provide a few files to orient the user to the world of DNA Barcoding, Metabarcoding, and ONTOLOGY. For a quick orientation to ONTOLOGY, refer to :ref:`Basics of ONTOLOGY <about>`. The highlights of DNA Barcoding and Metabarcoding are discussed in :ref:`Choosing a workflow <FEATURES_OF_BARCODING_AND_METABARCODING>` and a guide to the different workflow modes used in ONTOLOGY is shown in :ref:`Choosing a mode <ABOUT_DIFFERENT_MODES>`, so you can find the mode that is suitable for your study.

Start here if ONTOLOGY is new to you. Once you have chosen a workflow and a mode,
the :ref:`Tutorials <tutorial>` walk through a complete example run.
